The Lamar Sportsman’s Campground And Horse Motel, LLC offers many 50 AMP hookups, totally full service, pull through sites with WiFi coverage of the entire park, and we are open year round.We are located on the Historic Santa Fe Trail and are a short drive to the Camp Amache Japanese Relocation Memorial, the Comanche National Historic site, the Sand Creek National Historic site, and Bent’s Old Fort National Historic site.Southeast Colorado is a diverse land of scenic creek canyons, such as Picketwire Canyon, Vogel Canyon, Carrizo Canyon and Picture Canyon. Vast grasslands and area lakes host an abundance of wildlife. John Martin State Park, Two Buttes recreation area, the Great Plains Reservoirs, Blue Lake and Adobe Reservoir offer prime opportunities for bird and wildlife viewing as well as some great warm water fishing and hunting.There are eight golf courses in southeast Colorado as well as a nine hole disc course right in Lamar’s City Park.
